Enhanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems that will reduce the number of humans required to do a particular task are available right now. AI systems that can write code and create entirely new systems are being developed as we speak ...
I think we are at a saturation point in human intelligence, but where is technology going?
Stop and think about that for a moment. A highly skilled and dedicated human being, who has spent decades honing their skills, is programming a machine to be able to take over his or her job role and put them out of a job? Why? I don't get it?
"I am at loggerheads with the concept of AI writing its own code!"
Whilst I have appreciated technology ever since I was a young boy, I have not understood why people get their highly skilled human brain - the world's most sophisticated organic computer - to develop artificial tools that is just code, and then want to transform it into an inorganic learning machine, which will have no concept of what it is to be 'human', apart from the beliefs, values and other idiosyncrasies of the original programmer. Let's face it, code is only as good (or as bad) as the person who wrote it.
Going one step further and enhancing the machine with its own learning capabilities and self-correcting mechanisms, and giving it the ultimate capability of being able to rewrite/overwrite its own code to produce a new original version of itself, is quite frankly, a waste of human resources as I see it. It also seems an incredibly dangerous thing to do.
"I think we are at a saturation point in human intelligence!"
The programmers and developers are trying their hardest to make the majority of the human race go backwards in evolution and be nothing, but dumb, docile and obedient two-legged Homosapiens again.
The masses must not let those in the scientific world of AI overrule the human race. They don't even know if, when it all goes wrong, they will be able to regain control of systems and processes from the very AI they are creating.
Having increased dependency on web-based applications such as Grammarly, Monday.com, ChatGPT, CoPilot (Microsoft), Gemini (Google) and other AI-powered platforms is all pointing to the lack of global education standards and will result in the decline of understanding and purpose of who we are as human beings.
"Using any of the above as an assistant to make us more productive is one thing, using them to replace us is another thing entirely!"
People can't even agree on basic things like ceasing to harm each other and irradicate poverty, homelessness and famine. We could inject trillions of US Dollars, UK sterling, Japanese Yen and cryptocurrency into allowing the human race to live in happiness instead of relentlessly moving technology forward without any oversight. Is that such a big ask?
We have failing mental health worldwide and I am seeing a major push by desperate charities trying to raise funds from the general public, who are already stretched from rising bills and taxes. I ask you, what was the original purpose of governments?
The government is supposed to be an educated, elected bunch of responsible humans. They are tasked with keeping us safe and ensuring that no one person or nation can cause harm to another. Modern-day governments seem to want to make us all obedient puppies by convincing the masses that adopting AI will enhance their lives with automation!
What they don't tell you is that you may lose your job in the short term (and not have the skills to find another) and your descendant's brains could shrink in size over the next 100 years as technology takes over and they have less and less to think about. Well, for 99% of us it will; not the coders. Unless they create AIs that can write their own code.
All of the opinions in this blog post are my own, written by me (also edited by a human) and were in no way AI-generated. It's time we got educated, made a stand, and kept ourselves from de-evolving.
Until next time ...

The word 'Technology' has too many connotations in today's world!
Where do we start? Simple terms like 'IT' and 'Telecoms'? or terms that appear NOT to have an actual meaning at all!, e.g. 'Internet of Things (IoT).
Technology also encompasses specialist products and services like 'Rugged' and 'Tough' android devices, Lone Worker Software, panic alarm devices, smart energy devices, low energy lighting, credit card terminal (PCI DSS) security, indoor/ outdoor Wi-Fi systems, Ultrafast Gigabit internet connectivity, access control systems, industrial IoT circuit controllers.
BTS UK can consult from simple solutions to the most complex, provide some of the products through a wholesale channel, bring together a multi-disciplined 'Task Force' to deliver and implement complete Technology 'projects'.
I am your technology problem solver and I look forward to helping you.
